• Identify the attorney, paralegal and /or support personnel providing <br />the services <br />• List time spent on each item /activity /service <br />• Provide a detailed description of the service performed <br />• Total the fees for each service item <br />• Organize billing on the basis of activity and contact <br />• Summarize monthly (and annually) costs by type of activity or <br />project activity <br />VI. Legal Services Requirements <br />Following are the primary responsibilities for the City Attorney: <br />1. Attend all City Council meetings and City Board, Commission or <br />Committee meetings and other meetings as requested by the City <br />Council or City Administrator <br />2. Draft and review ordinances, resolutions, and correspondence, as <br />requested <br />3. Review Council and Planning and Zoning Board agenda items and <br />minutes <br />4. Advise the Council, City Administrator, Department Heads and other <br />staff on City legal matters <br />5. Interpret and advise on general federal and state laws related to <br />municipal government, including planning, zoning, housing, <br />development/redevelopment, enforcement, and property and real <br />estate laws <br />6. Interpret and advise regarding the City Charter and City Code <br />7. Prepare and /or review municipal contracts, such as contracts for public <br />improvements, joint powers of agreements, construction, and purchase <br />of equipment <br />8. Represent the City in matters related to the enforcement of all City <br />codes <br />5 <br />
