CAMPBELL KNUTSON <br />LITIGATION. Campbell Knutson is retained by the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance <br />Trust (LMCIT) to defend member cities. Campbell Knutson has experienced attorneys <br />who have defended numerous cities in a wide variety of lawsuits. Among the cases <br />handled recently, the firm successfully defended a takings claim against Robbinsdale, a <br />relocation benefits challenge against Chanhassen, a billboard taking claim brought by <br />Clear Channel against St. Louis Park and a lawsuit by Pawn America challenging the <br />adoption of an Interim Ordinance. Along with this first -rate litigation service, the firm <br />will scrutinize potential lawsuits, advise the City, and minimize the risks of litigation. <br />COMPENSATION <br />We propose the following rates: <br />Attorneys $ 150.00/hour <br />Legal Assistants /Law Clerks: $ 70.00/hour <br />Minimum increment of time for billing is .20 /hour. <br />We bill pass - through matters where the city is reimbursed from a developer or <br />other third party at our attorneys' regular pass - through rates. <br />COSTS: The City will be billed for the firm's out -of- pocket costs according to the <br />following schedule. <br />• Photocopies: $.20 /page <br />• Westlaw research: actual cost <br />• Postage over $.50: actual cost <br />All other filing, recording or miscellaneous litigation costs would be billed to <br />the City at their actual costs.
