• <br />• <br />• <br />• Total the fees for each service item <br />VI. Legal Services Requirements <br />Following are the primary responsibilities for the Prosecuting Attorney: <br />A. Prosecution of gross misdemeanor, misdemeanor, and petty misdemeanor <br />cases, including traffic violations, DWI cases, theft, and City code violations <br />B. Drafting complaints, representing the City at court appearances, including <br />omnibus hearings, pretrial conferences, court and jury trials, and post - <br />conviction hearings <br />C. Preparation of regular reports of prosecution activities and staff <br />D. Advise and consult with City Clerk- Administrator or his /her designee relative <br />to abatement of nuisances and other City code violations by means other <br />than formal prosecution <br />E. Recommend cost saving measures without loss of prosecution <br />effectiveness <br />F. Meet periodically with Chief of Police and /or other appropriate personnel to <br />review status of prosecution matters <br />G. Provide advice, consultation, and training where required to the Police <br />Department and to all other departments of the City in the interpretation and <br />enforcement of statutes and ordinances and investigation of violations in <br />connection with the prosecution of criminal cases <br />5 <br />
