Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 08-90 <br />RESOLUTION TO CONSIDER APPROVING COST SHARE IN RESHANU LAKE <br />WATER QUALITY EFFORTS <br />WHEREAS, The City of Lino Lakes owns approximately 1800 feet of shoreline on <br />Reshanau Lake, <br />AND WHEREAS, Reshanau lake is listed with the State of Minnesota as an impaired <br />lake water, <br />AND WHEREAS, The City of Lino Lakes is a listed MS4 having responsibility to <br />improve the gvnality of Reshanau Lake, <br />AND WHEREAS, The Rice Creek Watershed District has written a plan to improve lake <br />water quality with an initial effort focus on invasive weed control <br />AND WHEREAS, Property owners, The Rice Creek Watershed District and the City of <br />Lino Lakes desire to cost share water quality improvement efforts to Reshanau Lake, <br />AND WHEREAS, The Lino Lakes Environmental Board reviewed the Reshanau Lake <br />Water Quality restoration on July 31St of 2008, and recommended the City use $5,000 of <br />the Surface Water Management monies to control Curly -Leaf Pondweed. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />That the City of Lino Lakes contribute $5,000 of Surface Water Management monies in <br />the spring of 2009 to control Curly -leaf Pondweed in Reshanau Lake. <br />110 Julianne Bartell, City Clerk <br />John Bergeson, Mayor <br />
