Parks
The Parks Department is responsible for the acquisition and planning of land areas,
maintenance and inspection of current parks, and development of future park land. The
goal is to provide high quality recreation experiences within a limited budget. Currently,
the City maintains 16 parks, approximately 11 miles of trails, and the athletic areas at
Centennial Middle School and Rice Lake Elementary School. Annually, the City
allocates $15,000 in the Parks operating budget, with matching funds from the Park
Dedication Fund for trail improvements.
ual A Eti81 8kl 1998 1999
115 '1'116 1 197 Budget
Expenditures
Personal Services
198,154
217,185
234,540
337,720
309,018
Supplies
30,248
24,787
35,457
34,580
34,930
Other Services /Charges
30,375
39,199
46,949
46,620
49,540
Contracted Services
3,259
3,185
809
8,850
8,850
Capital Outlay
15,018
69,840
9,546
53,500
15,000
Total
277,054
354,196
327,301
481,270
417,338
Personnel Schedule
Public Services Director
0
0
0
0.6
0.6
Maintenance Supervisor
1
1
1
1
1
General Maintenance
3
2
3
3
3
Office Manager
0
0
1
1
1
Park Secretary FT(to Recr)
1
1
0
1
0
Park Secretary PT
0.50
0.63
0.75
0
0
Total
5.50
4.63
5.75
6.60
5.60
There are no new requests for 1999.
