Provide a low- maintenance, cost - effective sewer system that meets the long -term needs of the City's <br />residents and businesses. <br />2. Provide sanitary services to undeveloped areas in a planned manner. <br />3. Provide for the capacity and extension of sanitary sewer to developed areas of the city currently <br />served by on -site systems. <br />4. Establish an on -site septic system inspection program to identify potential failing systems. <br />5. Where possible, direct public sanitary sewer improvements to areas identified as having failed on -site <br />systems. <br />The 2008 Sanitary Sewer Plan and this summary Chapter Directly address all of these Policies. <br />7 -5 <br />
