AGENDA ITEM 1 D <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Rick DeGardner, Public Services Director <br />COUNCIL MEETING DATE: September 22, 2008 <br />TOPIC: Consideration of Resolution No. 08 -102, Accepting <br />Donation From Friends of the Park Foundation <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Friends of the Lino Lakes Parks Foundation was established in 1992 to provide the <br />structure through which residents, neighborhoods, and friends of the City of Lino Lakes <br />may channel donations, bequests, and other gifts of financial aid to enhance the city's <br />parks and recreational programs. In addition, this non - profit corporation sponsored a <br />tree sale each Fall to generate funds. Earlier this year, The Friends of the Lino Lakes <br />Parks Foundation dissolved. <br />The Friends of the Lino Lakes Parks Foundation Board has generously donated <br />$10,052.70 to the City of Lino Lakes for future parks and trails projects. <br />Please find attached Resolution No. 08 -102 for your consideration. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Approve Resolution No. 08 -102. <br />2. Do not approve Resolution No. 08 -102. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Option No. 1 <br />
