PROCLAMATION <br />Homelessness Awareness Month <br />Whereas, the Anoka County Community Continuum of Care, along with the Heading <br />Home committee is sponsoring a unique, countywide education and awareness campaign to help <br />end homelessness in our shared communities. The month of November will mark the SLEEP <br />OUT 2008, Be Part of Something BIG, 1st Annual Community Challenge; and <br />Whereas, the SLEEP OUT 2008 provides a unique opportunity for the City of Lino Lakes <br />to join forces with communities across Anoka County in an effort to promote education and <br />awareness to help end homelessness; and <br />Whereas, the Anoka County Community Continuum of Care and the Heading Home <br />Anoka committees play a vital role in bringing together the community and establishing needed <br />partnerships to support homelessness prevention efforts; and <br />Whereas, it is essential that all citizens of the City of Lino Lakes be aware of the <br />importance of homelessness prevention and the impact their participation can have on ensuring <br />that all individuals and families have access to a warm, safe place to call home in our <br />community; and <br />Whereas, community partnerships, awareness, and the desire to provide warm, safe <br />housing in our community. These are the important themes of the SLEEP OUT 2008, Be Part of <br />Something BIG, 1st Annual Community Challenge. <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />
