• <br />AGENDA ITEM 6.A. <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Paul Bengtson <br />CC MEETING DATE: December 8, 2008 <br />TOPIC: Second Reading Ordinance No. 14 -08 <br />Town Center Signage Criteria Amendment <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Country Inn and Suites located within the Town Center project has submitted a <br />request to amend the Town Center Design and Development Guidelines to allow for <br />increased wall signage on single tenant buildings within the Town Center area. <br />At the November 24, 2008 meeting the City Council voted to approve the First Reading <br />of Ordinance No. 14 -08, and staff has brought forward the ordinance for a Second <br />Reading. <br />PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD <br />On November 12, 2008 the Planning and Zoning Board recommended approval of this <br />amendment with a 4 -0 vote. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff is recommending adoption of Ordinance No. 14-08, amending the Town Center <br />Design and Development Guide to allow all single user tenants to have three wall signs. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
