DRAFT <br />e1 CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />2 MINUTES <br />3 SPECIAL MEETING <br />4 TRUTH IN TAXATION PUBLIC HEARING <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 DATE : December 8, 2008 <br />8 TIME STARTED : 6:00 p.m. <br />9 TIME ENDED : 6:30 p.m. <br />10 MEMBERS PRESENT : Council Member Gallup, O'Donnell, <br />11 Reinert, Stoltz, and Mayor Bergeson <br />12 MEMBERS ABSENT : None <br />13 <br />14 Staffmembers present: City Administrator, Gordon Heitke; Finance Director, Al Rolek; City <br />15 Clerk, Julie Bartell. <br />16 <br />17 TRUTH IN TAXATION HEARING <br />18 <br />19 Finance Director Rolek reviewed the city's proposed 2009 Operating Budget and Property Tax <br />20 Levy using a PowerPoint Presentation (on file). <br />21 <br />22 Mayor Bergeson explained that the purpose of the hearing is to take comment on the proposed <br />23 2008 budget. <br />24 <br />25 Mayor Bergeson opened the public hearing at 6:25 p.m. <br />26 <br />27 There was no one present wishing to comment. <br />28 <br />29 Council Member Gallup moved to close the public hearing at 6:27 p.m. Council Member Stoltz <br />30 seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />31 <br />32 Finance Director Rolek explained that final approval of the 2009 budget will be under <br />33 consideration by the council at their next regular meeting. There will be no continuation of the <br />34 Truth in Taxation hearing necessary. <br />35 <br />36 There being no further business, Council Member O'Donnell moved to adjourn at 6:28 p.m. <br />37 Council Member Reinert seconded the motion.
