It is in the best financial interest of the Lino Lakes hotels. <br />• Investment in new events will directly benefit the hotels. <br />2. It is in the best interest of the National Sports Center, a Lino <br />Lakes asset. <br />• New event development is the key to success. <br />• Additional resources will be applied. <br />• Building events with out -of -town visitors. <br />• Lino Lakes is already a partner in the Super Rink. <br />3. It is good public policy for the City of Lino Lakes to partner <br />with its closest neighbors. <br />• Coon Rapids voted to opt out on Tuesday, December 2, 2008. <br />• Blaine City Council voted to opt out on December 18. <br />• City of Shoreview approved the opt out plan on December 18. <br />• Ham Lake and Mounds View are considering their options. <br />4. The new CVB will be financially and organizationally viable. <br />• The proposed 5 -7 cities will produce $700k annually. <br />• Either the Chamber or the NSC will provide office and staff <br />assistance. <br />• John Connelly will guide the start-up organization. <br />5. The new CVB budget will be more strategic and targeted. <br />• Visit Minneapolis North currently invests only 7% in proven <br />sports marketing. <br />• The focus will be on `return on investment' and tracking <br />results. <br />
