The City received in 1983 an amount equal to the 1982 allocation
before State aid cuts due to the State budget situation. The 1985 increase represents a
5.99% increase. The City was budgeted (by the State) to receive $219,700 of local
government aid in 1986. Current discussions indicate that this amount may be cut by 8 %.
This would result in a $17,800 loss to the City. Additionally the State is proposing an
8% cut in Homestead Credits. This cut would reduce general fund revenue by an addi-
tional $19,200. Also, the City's bond fund would lose $1,000 in 1986.
