City of Lino Lakes
Management Report, Page 9
In 1983 the collection rate as a percent of current levy increased by 8% to a 99%
rate. This increase in collection rate reverses a trend that the City had been
experiencing for the prior four years. Property taxes are a primary revenue source of
the City. We recommend that the City monitor the collection rate for property taxes and
prepare revenue operation budgets based on the expected delinquency rate.
Special Assessments Receivable
Special assessments receivable consisted of the following:
Delinquent
Deferred
Tax forfeit
City property
Delinquent - not spread for
collection
Total
December
1983
$ 123,970 $
746,489
18,373
122,524
8,446
31, Increase
1982 (Decrease)
31,780 $ 92,190
809,668 (63,179)
132,981 (114,608)
11,569 110,955
4,708
$1,019,802 $ 990,706
3,738
$ 29,096
1
1
1
1
1
1
1
1
Delinquent assessments consist of amounts which were spread for collection in 1983 II
and prior years which have not yet been received.
