Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 09-02 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH RCWD TO <br />COST SHARE PREPARATION OF SPECIAL AREA MANAGEMENT PLAN <br />WHEREAS, The City of Lino Lakes and the Rice Creek Watershed District have <br />collaborated on the preparation of the Lino Lakes Resource Management Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the Watershed and the City agree that it is mutually beneficial to jointly <br />undertake a project to develop a Special Area Management Plan, for submission to the <br />Saint Paul District Corps of Engineers (Corps) to provide streamlined and consistent <br />Section 404 permit guidance in the City; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. that the Council hereby agrees to participate financially in the preparation of the <br />Special Area Management Plan (SAMP) in the amount of $10,000 with the Rice <br />Creek Watershed District (RCWD). <br />2. that the Council authorizes staff to execute the necessary agreements on behalf of <br />the City. <br />John J. Bergeson, Mayor <br />Julianne Bartell, City Clerk <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 5th day of January, 2009. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof <br />The following voted against same: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />• <br />• <br />
