ENTERPRISE FUNDS <br />Enterprise Funds are used to account for operations that are financed and operated in a manner <br />similar to private business enterprises. The intent of the government's council is the cost of <br />providing goods or services to the general public on a continuing basis be financed or recovered <br />primarily through user charges; or where the government's council has decided that periodic <br />determination of net income is appropriate for accountability purposes. The City maintained the <br />following Enterprise Funds during the year: <br />Water Fund - to account for customer water service charges that are used to finance water <br />operating expenses. <br />Sewer Fund - to account for customer sewer service charges that are used to finance sewer <br />operating expenses. <br />95 <br />
