Pecchia <br />Public Safety Director /Chief of Police <br />DATE: May 26, 2009 <br />TOPIC: Consideration of Resolution No. 09 -35 accepting <br />$200 donation from Residential Mortgage Group's <br />"Refer a Friend, Build your Community" program. <br />VOTES REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Residential Mortgage Group (RMG) has a charitable donation program called <br />"Refer a Friend, Build your Community" where a donation can be made to organizations <br />in a resident's community on behalf of the resident. <br />Kevin & Barbara Wilkins, Lino Lakes' residents, participated in this program with RMG <br />and have selected the Lino Lakes Police Department as the recipient of a $200 <br />donation. <br />The Lino Lakes Police Department is requesting council to adopt Resolution No. 09 -35 <br />and publicly accept the donation and thank Kevin and Barbara Wilkins and the <br />Residential Mortgage Group for their generous donation to the Lino Lakes Police <br />Department <br />OPTIONS <br />1. Adopt Resolution No. 09 -35 accepting the donation. <br />2. Retum the Resolution to staff for further information. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Option No. 1 <br />
