It is staff's <br />understanding that, following the discussion, this was the council's preferred method to <br />accommodate affordability. <br />At the May 4 city council work session the council discussed the need to develop and <br />consider a City policy regarding incentives for affordable housing. It is staff s <br />understanding that council felt this should be a high priority for implementation of the <br />Comprehensive Plan upon its completion. <br />Council Direction <br />1. Staff is requesting council confirmation to revise the plan based on the <br />Metropolitan Council System Statement Forecasts. <br />2. Staff is requesting council direction regarding proposed land use plan changes for <br />Weinkauf and Joyer parcels. <br />3. Staff is requesting council direction regarding development of an ordinance to <br />restrict or control growth of affordable housing. <br />Attachments <br />1.
