He stated that residents of Tart Lake <br />22 Road have on -going concerns about traffic issues, particularly related to the volume of cars using <br />23 the roadway. He explained that a recent traffic study indicated in the area of 1,500 cars per day <br />24 using the street, 60% of which are from outside the area. The roadway is curved and there are no <br />25 sidewalks so safety (especially for children living on the street) remains a huge issue. Mr. <br />26 Brown reported that the residents are appreciative of the city's efforts to assist with the situation <br />27 and support the continuation of those efforts. They particularly encourage strong consideration <br />28 of a dead end roadway alternative. <br />29 <br />30 Community Development Director Grochala reported that the city engineer is looking at the <br />31 situation, including information provided by the police department, and will make <br />32 recommendations soon, probably in July. He added that the city is keeping information available <br />33 on the Web site. <br />34 <br />35 The council anticipates receiving information from staffregarding the traffic situation at the <br />36 August work session. <br />37 <br />38 SETTING Mt AGENDA <br />39 <br />40 The agenda was approved as presented. <br />41 <br />42 CONSENT AGENDA <br />43 <br />44 Council Member O'Donnell moved to approve the Consent Agenda. Council Member Gallup <br />45 seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />
