Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 09 -87 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION <br />OF MINNESOTA METRO NORTH TOURISM <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes has enacted a tax on lodging within the City to fund a <br />convention and visitors bureau in accordance with Minnesota Statutes Section 469.190. <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Metro North Tourism Articles of Incorporation are for the <br />purpose of forming a nonprofit corporation under Chapter 317 of Minnesota Statutes as <br />amended. <br />WHEREAS, the general purposes of this corporation are to promote and market tourism <br />within the northern metro cities metropolitan region. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />• The Articles of Incorporation of Minnesota Metro North Tourism are approved. <br />John J. Bergeson, Mayor <br />Julianne Bartell, City Clerk <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 12th day of October, 2009. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br />The following voted against same: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />• <br />
