Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption. CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO 09 -93 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATIONS FOR THE LINO LAKES PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT'S ANNUAL GOBBLER GAMES SPECIAL EVENT WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department is holding this annual holiday event on Saturday, November 14, 2009; and WHEREAS, The event is a free holiday event for the families of Lino Lakes; and WHEREAS, Participant teams, consisting of one child (ages 4 -14) and one adult, will compete in a variety of low -key athletic events for prizes; and WHEREAS, The following organizations were made aware of the desire of the Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department to conduct the Gobbler Games with the support of program sponsors and have donated the following to the City to defer the costs of this event: Lino Lakes Lions Club $400 Patriot Bank $300 Circle -Lex Lions Club $150 Forest Lake Area Athletic Association $100 Lino Lakes McDonalds Juice and cups NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes hereby accepts the donations to help fund the Family Turkey Shoot event and wishes to express its sincere gratitude and appreciation to these organizations for their donations.
