COUNCIL MINUTES November 9, 2009 <br />DRAFT <br />• 177 i. Second Reading of Ordinance No. 11 -09, Amending Ordinance 04 -04 and <br />178 the Lino Lakes Town Center Design and Development Guide to allow <br />179 Assisted Living Facilities in certain land use categories within the Legacy at <br />180 Woods Edge project area, Paul Bengtson <br />181 ii. Consideration of Resolution No. 09 -94, Summary of Ordinance No. 11 -09 for <br />182 Publication, Paul Bengtson <br />183 <br />184 Consideration of Items 6Bi and 6Bii was postponed to a future meeting by consent of the <br />185 council. <br />186 <br />187 6C. Consideration of Resolution No. 09 -91, Authorizing Execution of Professional <br />188 Services Agreement with Bonestroo for Update of Official Controls (Tabled <br />189 10/26/2007) <br />190 <br />191 Community Development Director Grochala recalled that the city was granted and accepted a <br />192 grant award from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources to assist with integration of <br />193 natural resources information into development, conservation and policy plans. Staff is <br />194 proposing that the city contract with Bonestroo, Inc. to assist in updating city ordinances in this <br />195 area. <br />196 <br />197 A council member indicated that he agrees with the motive and intent of the work but also wants <br />198 assurance that it would not be an encumbrance to someone developing a single family lot. <br />• 199 <br />200 Director Grochala replied that staffs intent is to weave some requirements into the city code to <br />201 expand in the area of environmental sensitivity but not as encumbrances to developing lots. <br />202 <br />203 Council Member Gallup moved to approve Resolution No. 09 -91 as presented. Council <br />204 Member O'Donnell seconded the motion.
