• <br />• <br />DATE <br />TIME STARTED <br />TIME ENDED <br />MEMBERS PRESENT <br />MEMBERS ABSENT <br />DRAFT <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />MINUTES <br />CANVASSING BOARD <br />: November 9, 2009 <br />. 6:20 p.m. <br />. 6:25 p.m. <br />: Council Members Reinert, Gallup, <br />O'Donnell and Mayor Bergeson <br />: none <br />Staff members present: Deputy City Clerk Jean Viger, City Attorney Joseph Langel; and <br />City Clerk Julie Bartell <br />Deputy City Clerk Viger reviewed the results of the Lino Lakes election held on <br />November 3, 2009. <br />At the board's request, City Attorney Langel reported on the status of filling the vacant <br />city council seat. Under the provisions of the city charter the third highest vote getter <br />will fill the vacant seat, that person being Dave Roeser. Under state statute, Mr. Roeser <br />would be eligible to receive his election certificate and take the oath of office seven days <br />after canvassing is complete, or November 17, 2009 at the earliest. That is also <br />contingent upon Mr. Roeser filing his campaign fund disclosures. <br />Canvassing Board Member Gallup moved to accept the November 3, 2009 General <br />Election Results, as presented. Canvassing Board Member Reinert seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried. <br />Being no further business, Canvassing Board Member O'Donnell moved to adjourn at <br />6:25 p.m. Canvassing Board Member Gallup seconded the motion.
