ENVIRONMENTAL BOARD MEETING January 25, 2012 <br />DRAFT MINUTES 2 <br />8C-2. - Forest Bonding Grant <br /> <br />ADD <br />8G - Add: Community Garden Plot fee discussion for 2012. <br /> <br />Ms. Andrzejewski made a motion to approve the agenda. Ms. DeHaven seconded <br />the motion to approve the agenda. Motion carried unanimously <br /> <br />6. OPEN MIKE <br /> <br />Open mike closed at 6:40 p.m. <br /> <br />7. ACTION ITEMS <br /> <br />No action items. <br /> <br /> <br />8. DISCUSSION ITEM <br /> <br />A. IDDE Incident <br /> <br />Mr. Asleson presented the Board with a packet pertaining to an incident of Illicit <br />Discharge located at Black Duck Drive South on the pond. <br /> <br />Mr. Asleson stated the first procedure is to call the Minnesota Duty Officer to <br />report the illicit discharge. From there, the Duty Officer calls the Minnesota <br />Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) and notifies them. Mr. Asleson also contacted <br />the Lino Lakes Police Department and a police report is also required to be filled <br />out. <br /> <br />City crews responded to clean up the oil spill. The clean-up cost the City and <br />residents at least $1,000. <br /> <br />Ms. Bor suggested to put door hangers around the surrounding area of the incident <br />to notify residents not to dump oil or debris on ponds, culverts, etc. It was also <br />suggested to put an article in the City Newsletter to inform residents about the <br />City’s Illicit Discharge ordinance. <br /> <br />B. Recycling Discussion: Commercial, City, Schools and Residential <br />Recycling and presentation by Trish Curtis (PPP). – Removed from the <br />agenda <br /> <br />C. Grants <br />
