ENVIRONMENTAL BOARD MEETING April 27, 2011 <br />DRAFT MINUTES 6 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />C. Recycle Day/May 7 <br /> <br />Mr. Asleson stated recycle day contracted prices will stay the same as they were in <br />2010. No increase at this time. <br /> <br />Ms. Bor stated she would like to nominate a Lino Lakes resident by the name of <br />Ed, as the Grand Marshall for the Blue Heron Days parade. He is seen picking up <br />garbage up and down Lake Drive and surrounding areas almost daily <br /> <br />D. Garden Club <br /> <br />Mr. Asleson stated there will be additional compost delivered to the garden plot <br />site in the next week. <br /> <br />It was stated to have the next Environmental Board field trip at the Community <br />Garden Site. <br /> <br />E. Herons/Osprey/etc. <br /> <br />The herons have been doing great this year. <br /> <br />Ms. O’Dea questioned if Eagle Brook church has been putting out sticks for the <br />herons. Ms. Bor stated the church is working on this. <br /> <br />Mr. Asleson stated there is a Facebook page for the Heron Rookery. <br /> <br />Mr. Asleson stated there has been osprey spotted on the osprey pole behind city <br />hall. It has been 7 years since an osprey has been spotted at city hall. <br /> <br /> <br />8. ADJOURN <br /> <br />It was noted that the next meeting of the Environmental Board will be on <br />Wednesday, May 25, 2011at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />There being no further business, Ms. Klaman moved to adjourn at 7:45 p.m. Mr. <br />Heiskary seconded the motion.
