ENVIRONMENTAL BOARD MEETING January 25, 2011 <br />DRAFT MINUTES 4 <br />D. Solid Waste Amendment Ordinance <br /> <br />Mr. Asleson stated the Noise Ordinance has been changed in regards to waste <br />haulers start times. The new start time for residential hauling will be 7:00 a.m. <br />instead of 6:00 a.m. The start time of 6:00 a.m. will stay in place for commercial <br />business hauling only. <br /> <br />E. Recycling update <br /> <br />It was suggested teaming up with Aveda on recycling plastic bottle caps. <br /> <br />Mr. Asleson will research bottle cap recycling and put an article in the upcoming <br />Lino Lakes newsletter regarding this program. <br /> <br /> Mr. Andrzejewski will ask students at Rice Lake Elementary to write articles on <br />ways kids utilize recycling. Mr. Asleson stated we could possibly put the <br />article(s) in the newsletter. <br /> <br />OTHER: <br /> <br />Mr. Asleson talked briefly about having rain barrels for sale during Earth Day. <br /> <br />It was questioned if somehow there could be something honoring Al DeMotts <br />during the Earth Day/Arbor Day celebrations.0 <br /> <br />7. ADJOURN <br /> <br />It was noted that the next meeting of the Environmental Board will be on <br />Wednesday, February 23, 2011at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />There being no further business, Ms. DeHaven moved to adjourn at 7:30 p.m. <br />Ms. Andrzejewski seconded the motion.
