Planning & Zoning Board <br />May 14, 2003 <br />Laumeyer Variance <br />The Shoreland Ordinance requires that any additions constructed within such an area be <br />setback 150' from the OHWL, with a septic system that is fully compliant. The proposed <br />addition would not meet the required setback, and the City has no information as to the <br />compliance status of the existing septic system. Although the DNR is not opposing the <br />proposed addition, staff cannot recommend a variance that does not demonstrate <br />hardship. <br />OPTIONS <br />1. Recommend denial of the variance. <br />2. Recommend approval of the variance. <br />3. Return to staff with direction. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Option #1 <br />• <br />
