Mr. Grochala replied it would end prior to his property line. <br />Mayor Bergeson, stated comments by Councilmember Carlson did not represent the City <br />Council and requested the Board keep this in mind. <br />Ms. Carlson stated when she approached the podium, she was not acting as a <br />Councilmember and she did not introduce herself as a Councilmember. She stated she <br />was expressing her concerns as a long time resident of Lino Lakes. <br />Ms. Lane made a MOTION to close the public hearing at 11:14 p.m. and was supported <br />by Mr. Corson. Motion carried 6 -0. <br />Chair Schaps invited applicant to make comment. <br />Jeff Raduechel, representative of developer, stated this was not anticipated to be a high <br />volume industrial operation. He stated the building was a very high quality industrial <br />building. He noted this would be a substantially higher quality buildings then what <br />existed on the north side of 35W. He noted they were being sensitive to the environment <br />in the area. He noted while this was a large building, it would be significantly screened. <br />He stated when the area was fully developed, the impact of the docks would be <br />minimized. <br />Mr. Rafferty stated he could appreciate the comments from the developer and staff <br />regarding the design and orientation of the building, but he expressed concern about the <br />number of dock doors. Jeff Raduechel pointed out the doors would be significantly <br />screened and they had tried to minimize the impact. He stated the number of docks was <br />relatively small in comparison to the size of the building. He indicated they chose the <br />colors to coordinate with the school. <br />Rob Davidson, Davidson Companies, stated they were not contemplating a 24 -hour <br />operation. This was intended to be a distribution facility only. He stated there would be <br />125 -150 employees on the facility and there would be low truck traffic volume. He <br />stated this was an existing business consolidating to a new location. <br />Mr. Lyden asked what were the hours of operation. Mr. Davidson replied Monday <br />through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with an occasional 1/2 day on a Saturday. <br />Mr. Rafferty asked if there would be a lot of truck retainage at the dock doors. Mr. <br />Davidson replied the trucks would be in and out of the facility. He stated they did not <br />own any of the trucks and trucks would not be stored on the facility. He indicated there <br />might be trucks on the property for a short period of time, but not for long periods. <br />Mr. Lyden asked if they were receiving any TIF funding on the properties they currently <br />owned. Mr. Davidson replied to his knowledge there has not been any TIF funding. <br />Ms. Lane pointed out this was for preliminary plat approval only and they were not <br />approving the business. <br />DRAFT MINUTES <br />
