• Amendment to the Growth Management Ordinance <br />• <br />• <br />Motion to approve the changes to the Growth Management Ordinance by <br />Smith, second by O'Dea. All were in favor. Motion passed. <br />Mike Vaughan Subdivision <br />The Environmental Board recommended the approval of the Mike Vaughan <br />Subdivision proposal with the following comments and recommendations: <br />• Save as many trees as possible <br />• Mitigate any oak wilt started on the site <br />• The rain gardens should use the City Native Seed Mix, and the developer should <br />hire a nurseryman experienced in native plant establishment to plant and manage <br />this area for at least 3 years. <br />• Under the Grading, Drainage, and Erosion Control Plan Notes of the proposal, <br />Item 2 should say that 4 inches of topsoil will be thoroughly tilled into the soil <br />• The notes should include a statement that "no soil shall be imported or exported <br />from the site with out City approval <br />• Under the Stomiwater Prevention Plan Notes of the proposed plan, their should <br />include a statement that the City will be notified when storm water must be <br />treated with alternative BMPs and agree to them <br />• Under the notes section of the proposed plan, the note on external washing of <br />construction vehicles should include the washing of internal components of <br />cement trucks and be limited to a defined area <br />• An additional stockpiling of rock should be on hand, on the site to top dress rock <br />entrances should existing rock entrances become filled up <br />• The ponds should be dug with minimum compaction equipment and fenced off to <br />further traffic during construction. <br />• The notes should indicate that the site soils will be restored to pre - construction <br />densities and that this would be accomplished by tilling, plowing, disking, or <br />ripping. <br />• The Developer should provide adequate landscape screening to adjacent <br />residences. This screening if in rain garden and treatment pond areas should be <br />appropriate for these areas. The screening and recommended 1 boulevard tree <br />per house frontage should be approved by the City. <br />• Have Staff look at the feasibility of an alternative to a cul -de -sac design <br />• Page 2 <br />
