• <br />rig <br />any yard area and can be put up fourteen (14) days prior to a primary election and must be <br />removed no later than five (5) days following the general election. A candidate who is defeated <br />in the primary election must remove his or her signs five (5) days following said election. If there <br />is no primary election, the signs may be put up twenty (20) days prior to the general election and <br />must be removed no later than five (5) days following said election. <br />In the year of a state or national election, political campaign signs for local <br />elections shall be regulated by the guidelines for state and national campaign signs. <br />Political campaign signs are limited to twelve (12) square feet per side in all <br />residential districts. All signs must be placed on private property only; no signs shall be allowed <br />on public right -of -way. <br />e) Professional Occupational Signs. Such signs shall be non - illuminated, shall <br />number not more than one (1) per residence, and shall not exceed four (4) square feet in area. <br />The sign(s) shall pertain to a permitted use, shall indicate no more than the name of the <br />occupant, the street address and permitted occupation, and shalt be fixed flat to the surface of <br />the building and be no higher than the first story of the building. <br />• <br />• <br />Real Estate Signs. <br />Individual single family and two - family residential tots are allowed one real <br />estate sign per property, not to exceed six (6) square feet per side nor six (6) feet in height. <br />Mufti-family residential property of three (3) or more units and non - residential property shall be <br />allowed one real estate sign. If freestanding, the sign may be a maximum of six (6) square feet <br />per side and six (6) feet in height. If the sign is attached to the building, it shall be a maximum of <br />twelve (12) square feet in area. <br />Unimproved property of two (2) or more acres shall be allowed one (1) real <br />estate sign, not to exceed thirty -two (32) square feet per side, and shall be set back at least ten <br />(10) feet from all property lines. Unimproved property shall follow the requirements for real <br />estate signs above according to the property's zoning. <br />All real estate signs shall pertain to the sale, lease, or rent of the property <br />only and must be removed at the time of closing or within 24 hours of rent or lease of the <br />property. Said sign shall be placed only on the private property which is for sale (i.e. off -site <br />and /or signs in the public right -of -way, including directional arrows /signs, are prohibited). <br />Open House signs. Open House signs are allowed on private property <br />(commonly 10 feet from the street edge), provided permission from the property owner has been <br />obtained. Said signs shall not exceed three (3) square feet per side or more than four (4) in <br />number. Open house signs are permitted between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on <br />weekdays and from 6:00 a.m. Saturday and 8:00 p.m. on the last day of the weekend (this does <br />not include signs for model homes that are open for numerous, consecutive days). <br />
