It is recommended that the location of the 6" — 11.25 degree bend for the hydrant Lead on the west
entrance be relocated closer to the hydrant so the water main can remain parallel to the curb through
the entrance. This will maintain the maximum distance away from the curb to allow for any potential
future excavation needs without disturbing the curb.
8. Provisions should be made for looping of all water main which will be connected to the Town Center
Parkway or Village Drive water service stubs. In this case, the two stubs being extended from Town
Center Parkway must be looped together. No dead end water main runs will be allowed.
9. It is recommended that the sanitary sewer services be connected to the sanitary service using wyes
rather than direct connection into a manhole. A manhole should be provided upstream of the service
connections for flushing purposes.
10. All roof drains must be shown on the plans so that drainage patterns can be verified.
11. The plans give no indication that roof storage is to be used for storm water rate control. The usage of
roof storage to hold runoff from a 2.8" storm event was one component of the hydrology model
submitted to and approved by Rice Creek Watershed District and is an integral part of the hydrologic
design submitted by Hartford in this submittal. Without roof storage, the central pond/infiltration
basin, as currently shown, will be undersized. Roof storage and rate control for a 2.8" storm event
must be utilized on this building consistent with the hydrology model submitted by Hartford or
revised hydrology models must be submitted for review.
General Comments
1. Details need to be shown for all engineering items, such as gate valve installation, pavement cross -
sections, pervious pavers, etc.
2. The applicant shall furnish supporting documentation to verify truck turning movements can be
accommodated in the parking lot.
Please call me at 651.490.2147 if you have questions.
Sincerely,
SHORT ELLIOTT HENDRICKSON INC.
Robert L.
