Proposed drainage plan prepared by Metro Land Surveying & Engineering, dated November 2, 2005.
Drainage Review Comments:
• 1.
Include off -site drainage entering the proposed pond via an existing culvert located under Jon
Avenue. Include this drainage in the hydrologic analysis of the site.
2. Use a curve number of 100 for the dead storage area of the wet pond and wetland in the HydroCAD
model.
3. The n value for the existing 24" culvert under 74th street should be increased to 0.024 for corrugated
metal pipe.
4. Define infiltration only above the normal water level for the proposed detention pond.
5. Based on the infiltration guidance document prepared by RCWD, an infiltration rate of 0.25in/hr
(.0003472 ft/min) should be used for Type B soils
6. Update the plans to reflect the sharp- crested vee weir defined in the HydroCAD model for Pond 2P
and Pond 3P.
7. Include the sharp- crested vee weir detail in the plans as dimensioned in the proposed conditions
HydroCAD model for Pond 2P and Pond 3P.
8. Include details of the pond outlet baffle and bale check in the plan.
9. The high water levels indicated in the grading plan is inconsistent with the high water levels
summarized in the HydroCAD model. Update the plan to reflect modeling results.
10. Expand the easement at the south corner of the proposed detention pond and add easement along
storm sewer from the cul -de -sac to the proposed detention pond.
• 11.
