Paul Bengtson March 8, 2006 PUBLIC HEARING: Conditional Use Permit — Dog Kennel 7933 24t" Avenue Linda Ide has requested approval of a Conditional Use Permit to allow a dog kennel at 7933 24th Avenue. This application is required due to the current animal ordinance which limits the number of dogs kept on one property to a maximum of two dogs. The applicant has been cited by the Lino Lakes Police Department for having dogs in excess of the limitations and those citations have directly led to this application being filed. ANALYSIS comprehensive Plan, Land Use and Zoning: The table below identifies the existing land use and zoning as well as guided land uses for the area. A Dog Kennel is listed as a conditional use within the Rural Business Reserve zoning district and the conditions included are as follows: a. The applicable provisions of Section 503 of the City Code relating to the keeping of animals are determined to be satisfied. Section 503 of the City Code is attached to this report. The applicant has indicated in their justification letter, • that the minimum animal keeping requirements are being met, therefore this condition is being met. Staff is
