AGENDA ITEM V.A. <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Paul Bengtson <br />P & Z MEETING DATE: April 12, 2006 <br />TOPIC: CONTINUED PUBLIC HEARING: <br />Conditional Use Permit — Dog Kennel <br />7933 24th Avenue <br />BACKGROUND <br />Linda Ide has requested approval of a Conditional Use Permit to allow a dog kennel at 7933 24th Avenue. This <br />application is required due to the current animal ordinance which limits the number of dogs kept on this <br />property. The dog ordinance of the city code limits the number of dogs on a property to two. This can be <br />increased to four with the approval by the city of a private kennel license. A Dog Kennel is listed as a conditional use within the Rural Business Reserve zoning <br />district and the conditions included are as follows: <br />a. The applicable provisions of Section 503 of the City Code relating to the keeping of animals are <br />determined to be satisfied. <br />
