• Applicant's Justification Letter • • January 10th, 2006 I Linda Ide own and live on the property at 7933 24th Avenue Hugo 55038. I am applying for a conditional use permit for a kennel license. I have more dogs than the limit. These dogs are my personal pets. I do not run a business open to the public. I have lived on this property of ten acres for twenty -five years. I have a fenced in yard including gates across the driveway which are closed unless someone comes in or out of the driveway. I also have a fenced in exercise area that is connected to my house measuring 30 X 29 and 5 '/2 feet tall. It also has two swing dog doors with insulated boxes that lead into the attached porch. There are also 2 doors that open with a plastic window into the porch. It has motion flood lights that light up the entire exercise area. It also can be switched from the house to stay on or to stay off when needed. There also is a water facet in the exercise area to water the dogs and clean. The area is grass. Also there is a insulated milk house that has five separated dog boxes in the building that have openings to their own separate dog runs and also a door on each for access from inside the building. The building is 18 feet from the house and 8 feet wide 16.6 long. Each exercise run is cement floor. Each one has a locking gate with a 6 foot tall fence. There are five exercise runs measuring 12 feet long each run. Total of all 5 is 20 feet wide. The flood light from the other exercise pen lights up this area as well. I will be putting in its own separate flood light for that area within 60 days. The dogs spend most of the time in the house with me. I have six dogs that are my pets and belong to me. I sometimes with take care of my family or friends dogs temporarily in on vacation, etc. All dogs are current on vaccinations. The dogs I have and own are four Doberman pinchers and a 4 pound Chinese crest. I have built a new gate, just finishing afternoon of January 10th, 2006. The pictures of building and fences will be ready and dropped off January 11th, 2006.
