• <br />Subd. 2. Trespassing. M.S. 609.605, Subd. 5, prohibiting trespassing while astride, driving, or leading an <br />animal, is hereby adopted by reference. <br />Subd. 3. Running At Large. M.S. 609.605, Subd. 3, is hereby adopted by reference. No person shall <br />permit any animal owned by him to run at large. <br />Subd. 4. Diseased Animals. Animals with contagious disease of any kind shall be securely confined on the <br />premises of their owner or harborer and shall not be permitted to approach within 50 feet of any public <br />roadway or any place where animals belonging to or harbored by another person are confined or kept. <br />503.09 Enforcement. <br />Subdivision 1. Procedure. Complaints of violations of this chapter may be filed with the police <br />department. The police department may forward complaints to the Commission. <br />Subd. 2. Penalties. In addition to any other penalties provided for violation of this chapter, the council may <br />revoke the registration of any hobby farm operator who is convicted of violating any provision of 503. <br />503.10 Existing Farms. Hobby farms that were in operation prior to May 26, 1981, shall be exempt from the <br />provisions of 503.01 through 503.06; provided that exemption shall be contingent upon compliance with all of the <br />following provisions: <br />(1) The operation of the hobby farm as a hobby farm has been and will remain continuous since its <br />origination. <br />(2) Any interruption in operation as a hobby farm shall not exceed twelve calendar months. <br />(3) The acreage designated as the original hobby farm shall remain intact and shall not be reduced by <br />any cause, including sale of inclusive real property or expiration of lease to the property. <br />(4) The hobby farm operation shall not be intensified in terms of either numbers of animals or <br />additional species of animals. <br />(5) The non - conforming parcel shall be registered as pursuant to 503 no later than 5/26/82. <br />• <br />
