PUBLIC HEARING for a Rezoning, MUSA Allocation, Variance and <br />Preliminary Plat for Golden Acre <br />Mr. Bengtson presented the staff report, noting that a Comprehensive Plan Amendment is <br />not necessary for this item, though it was stated in the hearing notice. Mr. Bengtson <br />stated that staff is recommending continuation of this item to the September 13, 2006 <br />meeting as staff has requested additional information from the applicant. <br />Staff clarified that the side setback variance request is for the lot with the existing house <br />only. <br />Mr. Tim Anderson, 547 Lois Lane, applicant, was present for questions. <br />Mr. Tralle opened the Public Hearing at 6:52 p.m. <br />There was no one present to speak. <br />Mr. Hyden made a motion to continue the Public Hearing to the September 13, 2006 <br />meeting. Motion was supported by Mr. Nelson. Motion carried 6 -0. <br />• VI. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br />A. Administrative Approval <br />• <br />Mr. Bengtson noted that a memo was included in the meeting packets updating the board <br />on administrative approvals. Mr. Rafferty noted that a freestanding trash structure was <br />allowed, and added that the P &Z Board feels that trash enclosures should be attached to <br />buildings. Board Members requested that staff attempt to amend the ordinance to prevent <br />freestanding structures in the future. <br />B. Comprehensive Plan Update <br />Mr. Smyser stated that the contract for the consultants to prepare the Comprehensive Plan <br />update was approved by the City Council on July 24. At this time, city staff is gathering <br />data for the visioning process and the subsequent Comprehensive Plan process. <br />VII. ADJOURNMENT <br />Mr. Rafferty made a MOTION to adjourn the meeting at 6:57 p.m. Motion was <br />supported by Mr. Laden.
