• <br />AGENDA ITEM 6A <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Paul Bengtson <br />P & Z MEETING DATE: October 12, 2012 <br />DISCUSSION TOPIC: PUBLIC HEARING: Continued <br />Amending Section 1001 of the City Code <br />(Subdivision Regulations) <br />BACKGROUND <br />The new 2030 Comprehensive Plan will establish some new policies for how <br />development will occur in Lino Lakes. Chapter 1001 of the City Code, the subdivision <br />regulations, is an important element in the implementation of the policies in the new <br />Comprehensive Plan. Several requirements in the regulations will need to be amended <br />to implement the new policies. In addition, there are housekeeping and other items that <br />are being addressed at the same time. <br />Amending the regulations requires a public hearing, which was opened on September <br />14, 2011 and was continued at that time for further discussion. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staffing changes at City Hall have necessitated a reorganization of efforts in updating <br />the official controls of the city in response to the 2030 Comprehensive Plan. Staff is <br />requesting that the Public Hearing be closed and the item withdrawn at this time. A new <br />hearing notice will be publicized when staff is ready to move forward. <br />
