PUBLIC HEARING to consider Amending Sections 1, 7, and 8 of the Zoning <br />Ordinance to include uses such as Beverage Production and Bottling, Brewers <br />Taprooms, and Brew Pubs within certain zoning districts <br />Associate Planner, Paul Bengtson, presented the staff report. Staff recommended <br />approval of the Zoning Ordinance Amendment. <br />Staff noted that the city's Economic Development Advisory <br />approval of the amendment at their meeting on December 1. <br />Staff addressed questions of the Board. <br />mmittee recommended <br />Board members suggested that allowances for outdoor seating, beer(-and wine tastings, <br />and sales of growlers be included in the ame ents. Staff stated that the board could <br />include these in their recommendation. <br />\ <br />Chair Tralle declared the Public Hearing open at 6:51 p.m. <br />There was no one present to spe <br />Mr. Nelson made a MOTION to close the Public Hearing at 6 :52 p.m. Motion was <br />supported by Mr. Hyden. Motion carried 5 - 0. <br />Mr. Nelson made a MOTION to recommend approval of amendments to Sections 1, 7, <br />and 8 of the Zoning Ordinance to include uses such as Beverage Production and Bottling, <br />Brewers Taproom, and Brew Pubs within cefWn zoning districts with additional <br />amendments to allow for beer and wine tastings, retail sales including growlers, and <br />outdoor seating at taprooms. <br />Motion was supported by Mr. Hyden. Motion carried 5 - 0. <br />VI. DISCUSSION ITE <br />A. Business Licensing / Certificates of Occupancy / Non - Conforming Uses & Sites <br />Mr. Bengtson tinted the staff report regarding the licensing of businesses in the city. <br />Board Member comments included the following: <br />• If the City requires a license for one type of business, such as massage therapy, <br />than other related business types should be licensed as well (such as acupuncture, <br />homeopathy, etc.).
