Variance to reduce the side yard setbacks at 8001 Lake Drive, Miller's On <br />Main <br />Michael Grochala, Community Development Director, presented the staff report. Staff <br />recommended approval of the variance to the side yard setbacks at 8001 Lake Drive. <br />Mr. Grochala noted that bids were opened and the city awarded a contract for the signal <br />project at Lake Dr./Main St. and Birch St. /Ware Rd. Staff explained that on- street <br />parking would be eliminated from the Miller's site as part of the oject. <br />Staff reviewed the scope of the signal project at Lake/M <br />city's police department could assist with traffic contra <br />necessity. Mr. Grochala noted that the applicant is no longer <br />proposing a solid barrier wall as stated in the staff report. <br />Applicant, John Palmer, Encompass Digital Media, stated that the removal of dirt was <br />nearly complete and 2/3 of the berm had been reduced to the desired grade. He noted that <br />the process was delayed because new recipients were needed to take the dirt. They <br />decided against removing the entire berm as originally intended.
