• <br />• <br />• <br />Environmental <br />Memo <br />To: Katie Larsen, City Planner <br />From: Marty Asleson, Environmental Coordinator <br />Date: August 8, 2013 <br />Re: Environmental Board Recommendations for AJE Companies, Inc., Sketch <br />Plan Review <br />The following recommendations were made by the Lino Lakes Environmental Board <br />on July 31, 2013 concerning the Sketch Plan of AJE Companies proposed in Section <br />25: <br />• A ditch drains wetland through this property. It may be beneficial to the <br />developer and the city to investigate wetland restoration. Restoration may <br />allow for credits that could be generated to allow for wetland impacts that <br />might occur to create an internal loop to proposed high - density housing in the <br />SE corner. This would allow for immediate development of the proposed <br />high - density housing into the medium density housing proposed for the site. <br />• The site includes floodplain in the SE corner. This will need to be defined with <br />the project design. <br />• Sound barrier /noise attenuation from the freeway should be incorporated into <br />the design for housing. <br />• AUAR concerns must be addressed <br />• Page 1 <br />
