54 <br />(a) Storm water drainage shall be consistent with policies and standards of the Lino Lakes local <br />water management plan, as may be amended; <br />(b) No existing ditch, stream, drain or drainage channel shall be deepened, widened, re- routed or <br />filled without written permission from the city and other governmental agencies; and <br />(c) Where drainage channels must be constructed to augment the natural drainage system, the <br />channels, as well as the natural drainageways, may be planned as a part of a recreational trail system. When <br />this is done, channels shall be designed to be aesthetically compatible for recreational trail use. <br />(2) Either Rice Creek Watershed or VLAWMO shall approve all subdivision grading, drainage, and <br />wetland mitigation plans. <br />(Ord. 04 -03, passed 2 -24 -2003) <br />§ 1001.103 PUBLIC UTILITIES. <br />Telephone, electric, cable, gas service lines and/or other public utilities are to be placed underground in <br />accordance with city standards. <br />(1) Developers shall apply for city permits to install underground utilities in public rights -of -way. <br />(2) The city shall approve all utilities prior to installation. <br />(3) Public utilities shall be installed in a joint trench in accordance with city standards. <br />(4) Conduit shall be installed for all road crossings. <br />(5) Public utility installation shall not occur until 1 week after all curb has been backfilled. <br />(Ord. 04 -03, passed 2 -24 -2003) <br />PUBLIC LAND DEDICATION <br />§ 1001.115 PROPERTY DEDICATION. <br />(1) 14-pertien- . city a A reasonable portion of the every <br />proposed subdivision shall be dedicated to the city for public streets, roads, utility easements, water <br />facilities, storm water drainage and holding areas or ponds and other similar utilities and improvements. <br />(2) As a prerequisite to any subdivision approval, and at the sole determination by the city, applicants <br />and /or developers shall dedicate land for parks, playgrounds, public open spaces or trails and/or shall make <br />a cash contribution to the city's park dedication fund roughly related to the anticipated effect of the <br />DRAFT JANUARY 5, 2009 <br />
