• <br />• <br />The documents and data files are vital to the environmental planning needs of Lino <br />Lakes. <br />We recommend that efforts be made to convey the information in these reports to City <br />Staff and other boards. <br />We look forward to helping the City of Lino Lakes work together to transform the <br />information and ideals presented as a result of this effort into a better way of growth <br />planning and environmental management in our community. <br />The Environmental Board would like to thank the consultants for their diligence and <br />perseverance during this project. We are extremely pleased with the product. We have <br />officially accepted the final reports and we recommend approval by the City Council. <br />Mr. Trehus made a motion to approve the above recommendation and forward to City <br />Council, Ms. Frisk - Thompson seconded the motion, motion passed unanimously. <br />Environmental Board Initiatives <br />Job Descriptions <br />The Environmental Board added the phrase "and integrate conservation development <br />principals in all types of development" after the last sentence, �,=� +, .e the period of <br />number two on Essential Job Functions. Mr. Trehus mad 00 on to approve the job <br />description and pass it on to Dan Tesch, Director of � stra "� Mr. Kukonen <br />seconded the motion, motion passed unanimou <br />Project Review <br />Concrete Batch Plant <br />Mr. Asleson introduced the t 3 . s = . ° ":sect: <br />The Minnesota Department o portation will be resurfacing 35W between Sunset <br />Drive and the Junction with hi erstate 35E during the period of time of approximately <br />between April 17, 2000 and project completion time. Contract time is 61 working days. <br />Temporary, portable concrete batch plants are needed to conform to MNDOT's <br />specifications /limits for concrete placement within 30 minutes of production. The Tagg <br />property was chosen for this site based on close proximity. <br />Mr. Asleson stated he felt there should be a 100 -foot buffer to the East. He further stated <br />he has brought this to the attention of Schafer Contracting and will coordinate with them <br />on the issue in the spring. <br />After discussion, the Environmental Board made the following recommendations: <br />1) Move site as far west as possible to avoid negative impacts on wetlands on eastern <br />side of Tagg property. <br />2) Encourage staff to monitor project to ensure no negative environmental impacts and <br />to ensure contractor complies with MPCA guidelines. <br />Mr. Kukonen made a motion to approve the above recommendations, Ms. Frisk - <br />Thompson seconded the motion, motion passed unanimously. <br />
