D <br />Jeff Smyser <br />May 10, 2000 <br />PUBLIC HEARING (continued) <br />Town Center Design Standards <br />The P & Z opened the public hearing on the draft standards for the Town Center. Several <br />speakers offered comments. <br />The public hearing was continued to allow for additional discussion and comment. <br />The primary concerns of the landowners revolved around the extent of the requirements <br />for development in the Town Center. The landowners who spoke indicated they believe <br />the standards are too restrictive. <br />Residents who spoke expressed concern about the impact on 77th St. and the Caroles <br />Estates neighborhood. <br />Staff is discussing the standards and development in the Town Center with numerous <br />potential developers as well as the landowners. The results of these discussions may <br />influence staff's <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Take comments, discuss, and continue the public hearing to the June 14 meeting. <br />
