Tree Preservation and Replacement Plan: A tree preservation and replacement <br />plan shall be prepared by a landscape architect, forester, or certified registered land <br />surveyor knowledgeable in identification of tree species and shall include: <br />a) The name(s), telephone number(s), and address(s) of applicants, property owners, <br />developers and/or builders. <br />b) Delineation of all buildings, structures, utilities, irrigation systems, or impervious <br />surfaces to remain or be built on the property. <br />c) Delineation of all existing and proposed grade changes and limits of land <br />disturbance. <br />d) The size, species, and location of all existing significant trees and significant <br />woodlands to be removed from the property. This should not include any trees <br />listed in Section V.C.7. nor should it include diseased trees. <br />c) The size, species, and location of all existing significant trees and significant <br />woodlands to be protected on the property. <br />f) The estimated size, species, and location of all existing significant trees and <br />significant woodlands within one hundred (100) feet of the property boundary. <br />g) The size, species, and location of all replacement trees proposed to be planted on <br />the property in accordance with the tree replacement schedule. <br />h) Table summarizing total caliper inches of existing significant trees and woodlands <br />to be removed, percent ( %) of total caliper inches to be removed, and total inches <br />of replacement trees to be planted. <br />i) Itemized estimate of costs of replacement trees, protection devices (e.g. fencing), <br />labor, and other elements necessary to implement plan. <br />j) Signature of the person(s) preparing the plan and date plan prepared. <br />3. Tree Protection: The Tree Preservation Plan shall identify the measures that will be <br />used to protect significant trees and woodlands on the property or on abutting <br />property. All tree protection measures shall be installed prior to and maintained <br />throughout any grading_or_land_disturbing activity and should not be removed until all <br />new planting is installed. These measures may be identified directly on the Tree <br />Preservation and Replacement Plan drawing and/or included in a companion <br />document. Unless otherwise approved by the City, the following protection measures <br />shall be required: <br />a) Trees and woodlands designated for preservation shall be identified and/or <br />enclosed with brightly colored protective fencing (minimum four (4) feet high) or <br />other means acceptable to the City. The protective measures must encompass the <br />entire Critical Root Zone of the trees or woodlands, unless less protection is <br />necessary due to the proximity of a structure, road or similar obstruction to be a <br />part of the development, in which case, at least seventy percent (70 %) of the <br />6 <br />
