• <br />• <br />AGENDA ITEM V H <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Mary Kay Wyland <br />MEETING DATE: February 13, 2001 <br />TOPIC: Public Hearing, Ordinance pertaining to Accessory <br />Buildings in Commercial /Industrial Districts <br />DESCRIPTION: <br />Staff has prepared an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance pertaining to accessory <br />buildings in the commercial and industrial zoning districts based on discussion at the <br />January Planning and Zoning Board Meeting. This draft would allow only one (1) <br />accessory building a maximum of 400 square feet in area. Roof height would be limited <br />to 12' and district setbacks would apply. No site plan review would be required, but <br />standard building may be required per the Uniform Building Code. Roof and exterior <br />color and material is to be compatible with the existing building. Metal buildings and <br />pole barns are unacceptable excepting those used for bus storage. <br />Should the P & Z be in agreement with this draft ordinance we would recommend <br />forwarding the document to the City Council. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Adopt Ordinance Amendment as present. <br />2. Adopt Revised Ordinance <br />3. Return to staff for further consideration <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Option 1 or 2 <br />
