• <br />• <br />• <br />The meter /preamplifier /microphone system was calibrated before and after the measurements. A <br />Larson -Davis Model CA250 (S/N 2162) acoustic calibrator was used according to the <br />manufacturer's instructions. The acoustic calibrator used produces a 114 decibel tone at 250 Hz. <br />The manufacturer checked the accuracy of the calibrator on October 18, 2000. <br />Measurement Location <br />The measurements were made about ten feet inside of the north property line of the facility and <br />approximately 35 feet west of the clearing at the nearby resident's bridge. The distance to the <br />outdoor production operations was about 1,200 feet. The distance to the north berm on the <br />facility property was about 135 feet. The sound level meter was attached to a tripod approx. 4.5 <br />feet above the ground with the microphone pointed towards the outdoor production operation. <br />Weather Conditions <br />During the measurements on October 24th, the temperature was 59°F with a relative humidity of <br />92 %. No precipitation occurred during the measurement period. No significant wind was noted. <br />During the measurements on October 25th, the temperature was 63°F with a relative humidity of <br />89 %. Drizzle/light rain occurred for about 15 minutes during the measurement period. A slight <br />breeze was noted during the precipitation event. <br />
