• <br />• <br />AGENDA ITEM VII A <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Jeff Smyser <br />P & Z MEETING DATE: April 11, 2007 <br />TOPIC: Hardwood Creek Project Update <br />BACKGROUND <br />We wanted to provide an update since this project has been out of the public eye for so <br />long. Recall that the City amended the Comprehensive Plan to guide the site for Mixed <br />Use land use and establish some parameters for development. <br />Staff has been working with the developers, Anoka County Highway Department, and the <br />Rice Creek Watershed District on important design elements. These elements include the <br />creation of a new signalized access on Main Street and surface water features that will <br />serve to manage stormwater and provide both wildlife habitat and recreational <br />opportunities. The concept for the site is being revised to accommodate these features. <br />Representatives of the development team will present a summary of the project as it <br />stands and the anticipated schedule. <br />
