Summary of MEI Award <br />Mr. Smyser explained that the City of Lino Lakes received an award on May 17, 2007 <br />from the Minnesota Environmental Initiative for the best environmental project in the <br />Green Building and Development category for the Lino Lakes I -35E AUAR. <br />Chair Tralle thanked City Staff for their work on the AUAR and said they should be <br />proud of it. <br />Mr. Root suggested the city enter next year for conservation development. <br />B. Update on Comprehensive Plan <br />Mr. Smyser explained that on May 16, the Advisory Panel further discussed the goals and <br />policies. On June 4, the City Council discussed the draft goals and policies at a Work <br />Session. Mr. Smyser stated that points raised by the City Council included the building <br />cap, conservation development, monitoring the Comp Plan's process over time, as well as <br />Council's involvement in the process. <br />Mr. Smyser noted the next meeting of the Advisory Panel will take place on June 20, <br />2007. In addition, on July 18, 2007 the city will host a roundtable discussion with <br />developers. Mr. Smyser summarized additional upcoming meetings. <br />VII. ADJOURNMENT <br />Mr. Laden made a MOTION to adjourn the meeting at 7:02 p.m. Motion was supported <br />by Mr. Rafferty.
