Studenski, P.E. Reference: Moon Marsh
Copies To: CUP Site Review
City of Lino Lakes, Minnesota
From: Thomas D. Prew, P.E. Proj. No.: 13810.002
Date: July 3, 2007 Routing:
The following review is based on these submittals:
1. Moon Marsh Preliminary Grading, Drainage, and Erosion Control Plans submitted by Hult &
Associates, Inc., dated June 1, 2007.
2. Moon Marsh Preliminary Plat, prepared by Hult & Associates, Inc., dated June 4, 2007, received by
the City of Lino Lakes June 8, 2007.
3. Letter from Interstate Geotechnical Engineering dated May 24, 2007, received by the City of Lino
Lakes June 8, 2007.
4. Letter and product literature for a Multi-Flow waste water treatment system, from S -P Testing Inc.
dated March 9, 2007 received by the City of Lino Lakes on June 8, 2007.
Incomplete Items:
1. A complete septic system design is required to be submitted for review. We have an unsigned
percolation report, but not a site design.
2. An existing conditions plan is required to be submitted for review.
3. A letter report was included but not the soil boring logs.
4. See attached drainage review dated July 3, 2007.
Additional Comments:
1. Please note this is a private project City engineering standards are not being met (20 foot gravel road
and community septic system for lots less than 10 acres); therefore the city will not take ownership of
the improvements made to this project
Items to be addressed prior to final approval:
1. A field review of the site distances at the two intersections will be needed to confirm tree clearing
and any advanced warning signs that might be necessary.
I 2. The additional treatment shown for the septic system may or may not be required for this system. We
will not know until a full site evaluation is submitted. If the additional treatment is required, the
system would be a "performance" type system. Because the City has not specifically adopted the
performance section of Minnesota Rules 7080, they are not permitted.
An Employee Owned Company Promoting Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity
