ENVIRONMENTAL BOARD MEETING DECEMBER 17, 2008 <br />• Continue to monitor the Heron rookery and water quality in the northern one <br />third of Peltier Lake and to support the protection of resources in that area. <br />• Participate in comp plan and process. <br />• The Lino Lakes Environmental Board passed a motion to endorse and follow <br />the RMP/RMP -3 rule as a guide to the Resources Management Plan and <br />acknowledged the unique collaboration that it sets between the RCWD and the <br />City as a result of the Resources Management Plan. <br />• Offer a series of conservation workshops for residents through the Anoka <br />County Soil Water Conservation District. The upcoming scheduled workshops <br />are as follows: <br />Shoreland Management -March 30th <br />Landscaping For Wildlife -April 18th <br />Water -Smart Landscaping -April 21st <br />Rain Gardens -May 2nd <br />Motion to approve 2009 goals as amended by Ms. Bor and seconded by Ms. <br />DeHaven. All members in favor, motion carried. <br />C. City Newsletter Memo/Mary Alice Divine <br />There was a short discussion regarding an interest in interviewing people on <br />recycle or water quality issues stated Mr. Asleson. Board members agreed this is <br />a good idea. Connie Grundhofer's name was mentioned as contact. <br />D. Update <br />Mr. Asleson mentioned the City is looking at the stormwater ordinances at this <br />time and will most likely be present to the board in the near future. <br />7. ADJOURN <br />It was noted that the next meeting of the Environmental Board will be on January <br />28, 2008. <br />There being no further business, Ms. DeHaven moved to adjourn at 7:30 p.m. Mr. <br />Brown seconded the motion.
